Beaudesert Southwest Water Pipeline and the new Wyaralong Water Treatment Plant currently under construction by Service Stream for SEQ Water. Morrison has completed the geotechnical investigation for the 27km Southwest Pipeline and the Wyalong Transfer System Development and is currently providing on site construction advice.

The project connects Beaudesert to the SEQ Water Grid will ensure a reliable long term water supply for the Scenic Rim. The South West Pipeline will be the biggest addition to the SEQ Water Grid since 2012. The new Wyaralong Water Treatment Plant will be capable of producing up to 30 million litres of drinking water per day, compared to the current 4 million litres per day.

Morrison provided geotechnical advice for a range of construction issues including trench bed bearing capacity, horizontal resistance for thrust blocks, dispersive soils management and horizontal directional drilling assessment for river crossings.
